Q. Can the library provide an electronic copy of my course textbook?
In most cases, no.
Whether or not an electronic version is available is due to decisions made by textbook publishers. Even if an electronic version is available for students, one may not be available for purchase by libraries. Publishers also will not allow instructor versions of ebooks to be "transferred" to a library for our use.
